Behold the Princess who resides in one of the higher towers of the Castle of the Kingdom of the Clouds. A castle built from the ground and stretches to the heavens above. Few of her people below the clouds have seen her and only know her through the enchanted rose petals she drops from her balcony every night. Rose petals, grown under the moons lights, that never fade nor die away. The roses grow from vines along her balcony. Though interaction between the Princess and her people not condoned by the King, she feels it is the only way to let her people know that she is there, thinking of them, and showing appreciation for their loyalty. Believing that humility defines royalty as much as power, she secretly continues to release petals into the wind. OK This one took me A LOT longer than I thought it would (about 2 months on and off). It started as a Photoshop manipulation and then I learned the basics of Corel Painter X to try and achieve the right look for it. Though it still feels incomplete to me, it essentially represents top digital manipulation abilities thus far. Lots of elements on this one: Princess Amalyn is from Rose petals are from Clouds are from Roses and vines are from Lord-Sakamoto's "Roses for Granny" [link] Moon is from Balcony is from Stars are from Dress is from Right arm and had releasing rose petals from Chickadees from AND |
